Jodie Bailey, The Mad Hatter of Indy wearing one of her signature soft beret.

Jodie is a life-long doer, maker, and pioneer. She's also known as the Mad Hatter of Indy.

As an adolescent, she used her dad’s power tools to build her ideas.

As a high school freshman, she was the first female industrial arts student and was awarded Fine Arts Student of the Year.

She started her first business in her 30's, began university studies in costume design in her 40's, and in her 50's earned a degree in art history.  She then achieved a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Art and Public Life as a member of the first MFA cohort at Herron School of Art and Design.

After successful post-graduate careers in fine arts museums and academia she has resumed her career as an independent artist and entrepreneur making hats for those who boldly express themselves through fashion and appearance.
